I got this note from Jacqui M. this week and I decided to report it, since it shows that
Hi Norm,
Marlene and I went from Steckerts Bridge to Smith Bridge on the S Branch
I particularly liked the grass growing out of the disintegrating bottle
Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of the little frog that really did
Marlene and I thought you might like to see how well you've taught us.
Get strong fast,
Jacqui M.

of the AuSable last Sunday. It wasn't supposed to be a cleanup but all
these things kind of hopped into our boats on the way. We didn't even
have grabbers, just our paddles and my new telescoping net.
That must have been stuck in the logs for quite a long time. Such
determination to grow too!
hop into my boat off the bank at the Chapel where we had lunch. I took
everything out of my boat (the green Tribute) and could see it flattened
into the V inside the bow. My arms are definitely not long enough to
reach there. But Marlene spotted a young lad (12 yr old?) and asked him
if he'd like to help. He was tall and skinny, just the right shape, and
yes he would! He couldn't quite reach either but he got a stick and
prodded the frog into the middle of the cockpit where he caught him and
let him go.
