Today, we teamed up with the Outdoor Adventure Club from Kingsley High School ODAC and the Traverse Area
Paddle Club to do this really fun intergenerational river cleanup on this challenging section of the Boardman River.
The ages ranged from 15 to 85 and the skill levels ranged from advanced to "I've never seen a canoe".

The river was running at a normal level and was exceptionally clean. The students learned fast and were proficient
with the very barest of instruction. It was pretty dicey for the most unskilled for the first few minutes but they caught
on fast and actually picked up some trash along the way.

There were no mishaps of any significance.

The Traverse Area Paddle Club Youth River Stewardship Award was won by Ryleigh Webber of Kingsley High School.
