Seven of us headed out on this cool, cloudy Friday morning to do this annual project.
Hunter, from the Paddle For Pints TC BREW BUS, ran our shuttle.
We were able to park at the Delamar Hotel on US-31 at the Parkway once again this year.
We thank both the PADDLE FOR PINTS Company and the DELAMAR Hotel for their help today.
I had injured my left hand, so I didn't paddle today. But the others did AND HOW!
The river was very dirty because of the NCF and the homeless people who sleep under the bridges.
Our crew took at least 300 pounds of trash out and left very little behind. They did a great job today.
These bags were so heavy that I had to get help carrying them.
A big THANK YOU! goes out to the City of Traverse City Parks and Rec. Dept. for picking up the trash bags from the boat ramp.
When we were done, the BRCS bought us a well deserved lunch at Burger King. Yummy!
We also thank the National Cherry Festival and the State of Michigan for the
Addendun Report of the removal of the work table from the Weir:
grants that help us do these projects.
