Safe Harbor opened on November 1 so we decided to do this project the next day.

I got the word out on Friday at Central United Church and by hand at the Commons.

It went well with just 5 or 6 people participating. Derek Morton and Sean Kehoe from
Garfield Township and Tom Auer, a loyal volunteer, came out to help and keep me company.
It was raining and sleeting and sunny on and off.

The project ran from 9:00am to 11:00 am and a City truck arrived at 10:35 to get what we had collected.

As I was leaving, two more guys arrived with lots of trash so we put it in the dumpster there and also
in my trailer. That got disposed of in the dumpster at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. TY BLC!!!

These homeless "BUY BACKS" do a great job of getting trash out of the woods and I am hoping we can
convince the City and the Township to continue doing them on a regular basis, weekly if possible.

In all we got 38 bags of trash, 2 propane tanks, 3 mattresses and two bags of soild concrete mix. All for
the grand total of $92.00.
