We have decided to make this an annual event for our family to just enjoy an easy paddle
close to home and do a little good in the process.

The river was pretty crowded with people on this weekend afternoon. We encountered
several people and cars along the way but everyone was pretty well mannered and courteous
to us. The WINE SHOP / Canoe Livery let us use their parking lot, even with the Customer
Parking Only sign fully visiable. It's one of the few perks of doing river cleanups. They
can't really say NO when you are cleaning up their river but I always ask.

We found almost no trash in the river. We found two pop containers on the shore at the three portages
and two containers in the very same location in the river after the TUBES which makes perfect sense.

One of the pieces in the river was a water bottle from Sara Bergsma's Orthodontic office. I have
an idea to have some fun with it, so I called her to pass that little idea along.

I hope we can continue this family tradition for a long time.
