TART Maintenance Shed Report
Several years ago, the BRCS placed trash cans at two gazebos on the TART trail
Immediately, we discovered that those trash cans were filled every week with lots
of trash and litter and the TART trail and lake remained much cleaner.
Dr. Tom Auer, a BRCS and TART volunteer, asked if we could build a storage shed
for tools so volunteers didn't have to carry their own to the trail to work there. As you all know
I can't say NO to a request that helps the river, so I started working on it mentally, since
Covid-19 pretty much destroyed our 2020 season. We couldn't get together to build it from
scratch, so I got a donation from Brick Wheels and we bought a nice plastic pre-fab shed that
works great. We altered it a bit to give it more security and we got permission to place it on
private property adjacent to the TART trail. It was installed today.
We want to thank Brick Wheels, Lake Pointe Village and TART for their help.
A BIG THANK YOU goes out to Dr. Tom Auer who brought this idea to me, helped complete it,
and finished it on his own since I couldnot get out of the house to help him near the
end of the project.
